High Desert Automation (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Tyler Cross, a sole proprietor based in Prineville, Oregon, USA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at highdesertautomation.com and to our SMS demo number, (541) 903-4717.

We build AI automation tools — AI text assistants, chat assistants, email automation, and websites — for property managers and community associations. Our SMS number is used for live demos where prospective clients text our AI assistant to see how it works.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run our business and our demos:

Name and email address — when you fill out our contact form (which asks only for your name, your email address, and an optional message) or email us.
Phone number — only when you call or text us directly, or text our demo number, (541) 903-4717.
Message content — what you write to us through our contact form, by email, or by text, along with the replies our AI assistant sends back to you.
Website usage data — basic technical information such as your browser type, device, the pages you view, and your IP address, which is collected automatically when you visit our website.

2. How we use your information

To respond to your inquiries and requests.
To operate our demos, including replying to text messages sent to our demo number.
To provide our services to clients.
To communicate with clients about their projects, support, and billing.
To keep our website secure and working properly.

3. SMS messaging and sharing of information

If you text our demo number, we use your phone number and the content of your messages only to reply to you as part of the demo and to operate and maintain it. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP (see our SMS Terms).

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS Messaging

High Desert Automation offers an AI assistant text message demo at (541) 903-4717. Users opt in by texting DEMO to that number and replying Y to confirm. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate our service. They process your information only to deliver the service to you — not for their own marketing and not for ours:

Twilio — sends and receives text messages for our demo number.
Make.com — runs the automation workflows behind our demos and services.
Anthropic (Claude) — provides the AI model that generates the AI assistant’s replies to the messages it receives.

We also use standard tools to host this website and receive contact form submissions (Netlify) and to send, receive, and keep records of email and demo activity (such as Google’s Gmail and Sheets). We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our website, limiting access to the people and tools that need it, and relying on reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, or passwords by text.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to keep business records, or to meet legal obligations. Demo conversations are not kept longer than needed for that purpose. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights and choices” below).

7. Your rights and choices

Access and correction — you can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
Deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal information.
Text messages — reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from our demo number.

8. Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
